What is a Practica vs. Social?
At a social, the focus is on social dancing and having fun. At a practica, you can focus on just social dancing – but the vibe makes it more open for working on a specific part of your dance with or without feedback from a teacher or partner.
If you come with the intent to practice, it’s important to tell your partner and also talk about whether, how, and when you want to receive feedback. Some people prefer to practice without feedback; others enjoy working through things with their partner.
